The Artistic Expression of Lorimar Winery

When you think of the happiest place on earth, what really comes to mind?  Is it an amusement park, a child’s playground, the park where you go to read?  When I think of the happiest place on earth, I think of Lorimar Winery where the wine is exquisite and beyond reproach.

Lorimar is one of the only wineries in Temecula where the red wines are always ruby red to purple in color, have gorgeous bouquets, and are big in taste and smooth in finish.  Wines that caress the nose with delicate flowers and strong fruits, pierce the tongue with a powerful singe of earth and fire, and slide down the throat with a very satisfying warmth that spreads like love and light all through the body.  They really can not be explained to the extent of which they deserve, they must be tasted in order for one to appreciate their truth.

Although the wine is the beating heart of Lorimar, it is not the only reason you should be visiting, tasting, and joining.  The truth is, it goes way past happiness when you visit Lorimar because they are so much more than just the wine, and that is saying a lot.

To begin with, the names of some of the wines reflect some form of music:  Medley, solo, adagio, Crescendo, Duet, etc. and the bottles are all styled with music notes.  Aside from wine, the owners of Lorimar are also big on music and that is reflected in the extremely talented performers they book to play on the weekends and for special celebrations, like their member only pick up parties.

Each month Lorimar features an artist on their walls.  They have had several painters display their art, various photographers hang their latest exhibitions, those that draw, those that dream beyond reality, and those that express it are all welcome on the walls.  This month, one of their very own employees has his artwork surrounding the tasting room.  He paints somewhat surreal and the media goes beyond paint on canvas, some extreme skateboards cover the walls as well as the norm.

Lorimar is about wine, music, and art and that fact makes the artistic expression of Lorimar breathtaking.

Curry Vineyards Tasting Room

One of the greatest aspects of Temecula and what it has to offer can be found in the vineyards that surround it and live through it.  Wine country is definitely a great place to spend time.  The view is exceptional and the wineries offer a fun and relaxing time.

Down the road from wine country and into the heart of Temecula, all of what the vineyards have to offer can be found right alongside music, art, and cuisine from several corners of the world.  Most importantly, quality wine is plentiful here, sometimes even more so than in the vineyards!

Take for example, the downtown Curry tasting room, found in the Hotel Palomar.  It has Charlie Curry, wine maker.  He makes and bottles the wine he himself pours.

A list of exquisite red wines can be found at the beautiful wooden bar in an atmosphere that is so much more than inviting, comfortable, and fun.

Fridays and Saturdays have live music too, some of the greatest artists play here.  Be sure to go into the Curry tasting room located in the old Hotel Palomar.

Arizona Sky

Arizona is well known for its picturesque environment.  Especially the sky...

A close second to the Arizona sky is the sand dunes.  They seem majestic at times...

It may be one of the hottest places in the United States and I say that both literally and photographically.  Everyone should visit Arizona at least once in their lifetime - to take in the scene for sure!

Downtown temecula Ice Rink

Temecula is known for many wonderful things and the ice rink is surely one of its greatest gifts to the community.  The Christmas month is ringing in the cheer of a glorious celebration in downtown Temecula.  From snow being made at the children's museum to ice skating at this beautiful rink, good times are to be had.

Bailey Winery Celebrates 25 years

In order to celebrate their 25th anniversary, Baily Winery broke out with a 2011 Cabernet Nouveau.  It was the first wine they bottled 25 years ago so, it seemed fitting to break out with a 25th anniversary edition of it.
A wine that is ruby red in color, with a light flowery scent to it.  It is fruity and has a crisp finish.  It is a refreshing wine that was celebrated in November 1986 and is still remembered 25 years later.
I enjoyed this photo session in particular because it was done for an article I wrote for Taste of Temecula.  I really like the photo-journalism part of my job at times.
Baily Winery is extremely medieval looking on the outside as well as the inside.
Visit today and visit with these great gentlemen that pour your wine for you.  They love the wine and they love sharing their expertise on wine as well.

Baby Malachi's arrival

I am someone that simply can not resist the smell of a new baby and to hold that baby in my arms.  Malachi provided a much needed cuddle for me during this session.  He is such a sweet, adorable little baby.  Just take a look...
